Human love has a condition. [1] If, the opposite sex does not make him comfortable, their relationship will be disturbed, it can even fail. The statement we usually hear from a partner when he is asked "why do you want to be with him, or want to love him?", Usually he answers "because he makes me feel comfortable". Thus, if the partner does not provide a comfortable situation, then he will not want to survive, this is human love. However, the love that God expresses is very different from the love expressed by humans, to be precise the love of God is unconditional. Love like this for humans is something strange, because love is not based on a motivation, or it can be said that it has no basis, so it is very difficult for humans to accept, even turn away from it, from that love. However, is it true that God's love for humans is groundless?
The answer is correct, because God Himself is the basis. Yes, this assumption is in accordance with the Bible's statement which states that God is love, or the Bible calls it love. What is the proof that God is love? The proof is revealed in Jesus Christ himself. Jesus who is both true God and true Man. For our sake, he is willing to live his life as a human being just like us, to feel hungry, tired, thirsty, that he is hurt for our sake, but is not sinful. [2] For our sake too, he is willing to bear the punishment for the sins that have cursed (Gal. 3:10) our lives, so that Jesus himself is called cursed (Gal. 3:13), which we should be the ones who bear it. So, love does not talk about satisfaction, but about sacrifice. God has shown his true love, now it is our turn to accept it humbly. Acceptance with humility, brings us free from guilt due to sin.
