This "concept" describes the Creator in the Christian faith. Our limited thinking cannot possibly "lock up" an infinite God. We can know God to what extent God has revealed Himself through His Word (Bible). Thus, this concept comes from the Bible. Of course, the essence of God is the Spirit (John 4:24), not limited by space and time (Psalm 93: 2).
The Triune God was revealed in the Old Testament. According to Deuteronomy 6:24, teaches that God is One. In Hebrew which is the original language, the word "LORD" is "YHWH", the word "Allah" is "Elohim", while the word "Esa" is "Echad" which means "Unified One" or "Compound Unity" (one unit) , just as the word "One" is used in Genesis 2:24.
Genesis 1:26, first implies a Triune God in the Old Testament. In addition, Genesis 3:22 and 11:27 also use the word "We" which means plural. By looking at the analysis of the word in Hebrew, it means that the Hebrews correctly understood that the One YHWH is Elohim (which is plural). Thus giving meaning to us that the God they worship consists of more than one person. It's just that in the Old Testament, the three persons (Father, Son, Holy Spirit) have not been clearly revealed.
In the New Testament, the Triune God in the form of one single person, is well described in several verses, one of which is in Matthew 3: 16-17, where at the moment after Jesus was baptized, the Spirit of God descended in the form of a dove upon Him, and then a voice was heard. from heaven who says: "This is My beloved Son, with whom I am pleased".
The term which is used to distinguish the three persons of the One, does not imply a difference of essence. All persons are the same, that is, they have Divine attributes. It is true that in order to understand the Old Testament, we need a knowledge, a good analytical understanding of the Hebrew language. This means that using proper Hebrew analysis, that YHWH the One is Elohim (plural). It's just that if we look at the Old Testament, God has not revealed the three persons of the Trinity (Father, Son, and Holy Spirit) to His chosen nation, namely the nation of Israel. Only in the New Testament, the Lord Jesus clearly stated in Matthew 28:19, that the plural Elohim consists of three persons.
This is my explanation, may the Triune God give enlightenment to all of us who have read. If there are suggestions and comments, please write in a comment. GBU
