LOGOS IN JOHN 1: 1

In this verse, we can see how John shows the background of Christ. The background that John shows is very far back, that is, it points to eternity. We can learn this verse if we understand it with humility that longs to learn and know Christ Himself. Who are we humans who can actually study Allah, but that doesn't mean we can't know it or understand it. So if it is with humility to want to learn, then God will give us wisdom to be able to understand Himself to what extent He Himself reveals Himself to us humans.

There are three important things that are conveyed in this verse about the Word and God the Father:

"In the beginning was the Word ..."

The Word itself is eternal, the Word existed before everything existed, so this verse concludes to us that the Word was the beginning of all things, this Word was there from the beginning before everything was created, and this Word was the creator.

"... the Word was with God ..."

This phrase states that He or the Word itself is a person who is with God. This Word can be distinguished from God.

"... And the Word was God."

This phrase affirms that even though this Word is distinguished from God, this Word is still God who shares unity and equality. If it only stops at these verses, the question will arise, Who is Allah that is meant here? God is meant here is the Father, and the Word that is meant is the only begotten Son of God. Because only the Only Begotten Son of God has ever seen the Father.
