Paul's theology of Christ

In the New Testament, every writer has his own theology. However, regarding the Deity of Christ, it is Paul's theology that is most appropriate in the spotlight. Paul as an apostle had his own point of view about Christ. It is not just his viewpoint, but also his theology of Christ. Each person has his own theology. Paul's first theology about Christ is to state emphatically that Christ was born of a virgin woman (Gal. 4: 4), He has humanity from His earthly mother and has physical descent from David, thus He is said to be a descendant of David. (Rom. 1: 3; 2 Tim. 2: 8 cf. Matt. 1: 1). It is humanity that is added to His deity. So, before being in Mary's womb, Jesus Christ was already God. Thus it is quite apparent that Paul's Theology's emphasis on the deity of Christ originated "From Heaven" (1 Cor 15:47). Thus Paul proposes His pre-existence and His eternity.

According to Paul's Theology too, Christ exists as the image of God. In Greek it is called 'morphe'. It means promoting the inherited character or essential substance of the person (Christ is God). Christ himself did not have a sinful nature. Thus every thing he has done while in the world, there is no element of his sin. The discussion about Jesus having been called God is an important study because the title Lord appears at least 144 + 95 times more in association with the name Jesus Christ. This is Paul's Theology which has very clearly explained how he actually saw Jesus Christ as Lord.
